Report: Running back Bell re-signs with Bears

Running back Kahlil Bell said Saturday that he re-signed with the Chicago Bears, reports CBSSports.com.

The Bears were looking to sign another running back after starter Matt Forte went down with a high ankle sprain in Thursday's loss to the Green Bay Packers.

Forte's status for the Bears upcoming game at home against the St. Louis Rams on Sept. 23 is unknown, but reports say he could end up missing a month or more.

"I'm taking my talents back to Chicago," Bell wrote on Twitter. "So happy to be back. Never wanted to leave."

"Let's make this clear: I never wanted to leave Chicago in the first place," Bell said to the Chicago Tribune.

Bell was cut by the team in August after he refused to take a pay cut from $1.26 million to $700,000.
